Virtual parent/teacher interviews

We would like to welcome all parents to participate in our virtual parent-teacher interviews.  These will occur on Thursday the 22nd of October via Zoom.
 
Whilst we know that not all parents may be able to connect online, we encourage you to take the opportunity if possible.  Those unable to join our Zoom meeting are invited to contact their child's teachers at any time to make an appointment via phone.
 
Online bookings can be completed via our Parent Portal.  See information below.  Attached is a video demonstrating how to create a Zoom account.  Early next term, we will provide additional information about how parents-teachers virtual meetings.  If you require additional information please contact the school via its email gorokan-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au
 
Parent Portal
The Student and Parent Portal provides both parents and students with discreet information about each student's progress in our school.  This online resource will allow parents and students to view information about:
  • Attendance - Attendance history, class attendance percentages & explained-un-explained absences.
  • Reports - Self-assessments, academic results and teacher comments.
  • Students can create a personal journal.
  • Students daily timetable
To access the Portal
  1. Please log on to the internet and access our Parent Portal here: https://gorokan-h.school.nsw.gov.au/about-our-school/parent-student-portal.html
  2. You must use a valid emial address to create your acoount and register for the Parent Portal.
  3. Once successfully registered you must visit the school with photo ID to obtain an"access key" and vertify your identity before you can login.  (Please call to arrange a time if after 3.30pm is required)
  4. Your account will be activated and you can log in with your username (email address) and the password created.
Please feel free to contact the school office on 43937000, early in Term 4 for assistance in the process.
