2026 Central Australia Trip

Year 8 classes viewed a presentation on the Central Australia Trip for when they are in Year 10 in 2026. This is an annual event for Year 10 students wishing to participate, in a three-week trip through Central Australia to Darwin.

An information evening for parents, carers, and family members will be held on Tuesday 27 August. The evening will include talks by the Year advisor – Mr Finlayson, the organiser – Mr Costa, and a visual presentation of the trip.

From Wednesday 28 August at 8am, students and parents will be able to pay the initial deposit to secure their spot for the trip. There is a maximum of 50 places available. Please do not attempt to pay a deposit before this as the account will not be set up.

Deposits can be only paid through the front office by cash or card. No online or phone payments will be accepted.

After the maximum 50 students have paid their deposit, GHS will start a waiting list.
