What is AECG?

The Aboriginal Education Consultative Group Inc (AECG) is a community based voluntary organisation that has been operating from a grass roots level since the 1970s and is the peak advisory group for Aboriginal education in NSW.

What can the AECG do for you?

The AECG is an avenue for parents and community members to have "a voice". It's your chance to have a say in what happens in you child's education in you local school and community.

How can I get involved?

Membership is open to Parents, Aunties, Uncles, community members, Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people. The cost is $2 per year.

What happens at a meeting?

Meetings are very informal. Come along for a cuppa and a yarn, make friends and meet new people. Families welcome.

We would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we stand, lead and learn. This land is and always will be Aboriginal land. We would also like to pay our respects to the elders both past, present and to those leaders emerging who will carry on the hopes and dreams of our nation into the future. We recognise the strength, resilience and spirit of our nation’s first people.
